Tanner Vineyards
Tanner Vineyards is a family-owned winery in Murphys with winemaking roots stretching back to the mid-1800s, when their great grandfather Angelo Sciaccaluga emigrated from Italy and became the first licensed winemaker in Calaveras County. Today, the Tanner family tends a 32-acre vineyard on rocky, volcanic soil in Vallecito, crafting small-production, estate-grown wines including Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petite Sirah, among others.
