Avennia was founded in 2009 by Marty Taucher and Chris Peterson, a partnership built on their shared commitment to sourcing from signature vineyards and using natural cellar processes to produce Washington wines. The winery released its first vintage (16 tons) in 2012 after establishing relationships with the state's top growers.
