Founded in 1999, Round Peak Vineyards sits in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains near Mount Airy, NC, at 1,300 feet elevation in the Yadkin Valley AVA. Owners Kari Heerdt and Ken Gulaian tend 12 acres planted primarily with French and Italian grape varieties, crafting dry and sweet wines alongside cider, mead, and beer. From Chardonnay and Merlot to Nebbiolo and Tannat, their diverse portfolio reflects a commitment to exploring what thrives in these cool mountain vineyards.
