J. Rickards Winery is a family-run operation in Cloverdale, nestled in Alexander Valley's northern reaches. Founded in 2005 by Jim and Eliza Rickards, the winery builds on decades of winemaking passion—the owners had been crafting wine by hand since 1991 before friends encouraged them to share their work commercially. Their vineyards, planted over 40 years ago, include remarkable original 1908 Zinfandel vines that tell the story of the valley's rich history.
