Blackjack Ranch Vineyards & Winery, founded in 1996 by Roger Wisted in Solvang, California, takes its name from a card game Wisted invented in 1990. The vineyard produced its first vintage in 1997 and opened its tasting room in 1999, offering Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chardonnay through their Black Label, Reserve, and Hillside Grown Estate programs.
