Avenales Ranch is a sixth-generation Sinton family operation in San Luis Obispo County with roots reaching back to 1875. The winery began crafting wine in 2007 from 100% estate fruit grown at Shell Creek Vineyards—first planted in 1972—using organic and sustainable farming practices. Under winemaker Anthony Yount, they produce Petite Sirah, Chenin Blanc, Valdiguié, and Cabernet Sauvignon alongside their working cattle ranch.
